6-a-side football league Shepherds Bush is played at an amazing 4G football pitch which is located under the A40 flyover, in West London. Rain is not an issue at this venue. Sideboard at the pitch keep the game playing for an intense 50 mins match.

ABOUT THE VENUE
Westway Sports Centre is one of the biggest venues in West London, with 9 state of the art football pitches you can play casual or competitive football games all year round.
Most of the football pitches at located under the A40 flyover so weather is not an issue. We play all year round protected from rain (or snow).
Westway Sports Centre is just minutes walk from Later Road tube station, which is on Hammersmith & City line. You can also walk from Shepherds Bush Overground station, around 10 minutes walk. After the game you can enjoy some time with your friends in the pubs close by or at Westfield Shepherds Bush.
Car parking is available at the venue, under the big 11 a side pitch. Usually it costs £2 per hour. You can also park you car at the street around the venue with pay and display ticket system (free after 6.30pm).

6-a-side football is a great way to improve key skills that are transferrable to its counterpart – 11-a-side football. Close-control, passing, creativity and movement are but a few attributes that will receive significant boosts as you play on the much smaller pitches.
Passing: Accurate passing will be needed in the tight confinements of a 6-a-side football pitch as one wayward pass is a sure-fire way of giving away a goal.
Creativity: Fancy yourself as an Iniesta type? Great. You’ll need all the creativity possible to unlock tightly packed defences. As your experience in 6-a-side builds, you’ll start recognising gaps in the defence and will be able to utilise the clever runs of your team-mates.
Movement: Standing still in 6-a-side puts you at a great disadvantage as you become easy to mark. Clever runs towards goal can help your side create better opportunities whilst making yourself available to your team-mates allows your team to continue fluid moves, hopefully yielding a higher amount of goals scored. Shooting: goals are a tad smaller than conventional 6-a-side goals which means your shooting has to be on-point if you want to beat the opposition. Accurate, powerful shots to the corners are the best way to beat the keeper and as you visit the centre more and more, you will find your shooting accuracy sky-rocket.
