Grassroots Women’s Football Development 🤝
Footy Addicts in partnership with the LondonFA has been running a Grassroots Women’s Football development programme to create easy access to quality football pitches for women. In 2023, we delivered a record of over 330 dedicated women-only games with 4000 opportunities for women to find and play football in London.

When & Where ⭐
Date: Saturday 1 June 2024
Location: Market Road Football Pitches, Islington, London, N7 9PL
Time: 10am – 6pm (registration opens 09:30am)
Inclusive Football Tournament information and format 👀
- Teams: 8-a-side, with a max of 3 subs per team
- Format: 3 groups of 7 teams (max), playing against each other. The top two teams from each group and the two best 3rd placed teams will advance to the knockout stage.
- Game time: 10 mins (minimum playing time, subject to number of teams registered)
- Cost per team: £150 (The full amount must be paid to secure your spot. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable)
- Refs: Fully qualified FA referees
- Age group: All players must be aged 18 or older
🫶 Cause
⚽️ Funds will provide more opportunities for women and non-binary football players to access local games.
Venue information 📍
- Pitch: Quality 3G artificial pitch, all weather surface, big goals, sidelines
- Facilities: Changing rooms and showers are available
- Getting there: 10 minutes walk from Caledonian Rd and Caledonian Road – Barnsbury stations
- Car park: Street parking is available
